Sourav Ganguly clarifies his side on BCCI exit

After Sourav Ganguly, Roger Binny a former cricketer for India, is ready to take over the BCCI.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is due to undergo a flurry of changes, including the appointment of former India cricketer and World Cup champion Roger Binny as the organization’s new head. The former captain of India reportedly declined an opportunity to lead the IPL, according to sources close to the BCCI.

Although Sourav Ganguly, who served the most of his term as BCCI president during the pandemic, intended to stay in that position, the cricket governing body’s equations have shifted and are undoubtedly not in his favor. Although a formal declaration on the subject is still awaited, Ganguly has admitted that he has chosen to take on other obligations outside of the BCCI. At a Bandhan Bank function, Ganguly spoke to the press and addressed the entire debacle.

Here’s what Sourav Ganguly has to say, “I have been an administrator for a long time now and I will move on to something else now. No matter what I have done in life, my best days were certainly the ones in which I represented India at the highest level. I have headed the BCCI and I will go on to do bigger things.”

“For now, that is the plan. I am not somebody who takes history into account, it was a belief that east lacked the talent to play at the highest level, but the scenario is slowly changing. You don’t become an Ambani or Narendra Modi in one day, it takes years of hardwork and dedication.”

Roger Binny, a former cricketer for India, is preparing to take over the BCCI. He has already submitted his candidacy paperwork and is most likely to face no opposition. The BCCI secretary will still be Jay Shah.
