During a visit in Nepal India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has announced that Nepal will be offered an official ‘home ground’ for the Nepal Cricket Team. Nepal had been having difficulty constructing a permanent home stadium for its cricket team due to a variety of factors, including a lack of sufficient infrastructure and budgetary constraints.

The squad frequently played its home games at various locations, and plans were underway to build a dedicated cricket ground. The cricket squad has made significant progress on the international scene. However, the nation has yet to get a permanent home ground for its cricket team. The team qualified for the first-ever T20 World Cup 2024 as well.

Jaishankar wrote on Twitter “Congratulated them on qualifying for the T20 World Cup.” “Assured them of India’s support in their preparations. Underlined our commitment to the growth of cricket in Nepal.”
