Karthi launched his 25th movie: Japan today along with cast and crew.

The upcoming movie of actor Karthi is Japan. A traditional puja ritual was held on Tuesday to introduce the film. The movie, which is supported by Dream Warrior Pictures, will be directed by Joker-famous Raju Murugan. The female lead will be played by Anu Emmanuel.

“Delighted to announce that @Karthi_Offl starrer #Japan pooja happened today, need all your love,” tweeted the production company.

Films by Raju Murugan are renowned for their politically charged subjects. With his sociopolitical satire Joker, he became well-known. Guru Somasundaram’s acting career advanced thanks to the 2016 movie as well. Gypsy, his most recent film, was not well received by reviewers or audiences, nevertheless.

Karthi is currently enjoying his films’ back-to-back box office successes. This year saw the release of three of his movies: Viruman, Ponniyin Selvan I, and Sardar all of which did well at the box office. He has been a significant part of the grand costume drama by Mani Ratnam. The movie has amassed more than Rs 500 crore in theater revenue worldwide.

His recent movie, Sardar is one of Karthi’s biggest solo successes to date.

In the sequel to Ponniyin Selvan, which will be released on screens next year, Karthi will next be seen as Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan in a reprisal of that role. Additionally, he has a movie with Lokesh Kanagaraj scheduled. After Lokesh completes his project with Tamil actor Vijay, the sequel to his 2019 hit Kaithi will begin production.
