T20 World Cup 2022 : India win by 5 runs (DLS Method)

Bangladesh is off to a great start against India

Rain has stopped play and currently, Bangladesh is 17 runs ahead in terms of the DLS method. So if the game doesn’t get started, Bangladesh will emerge the winner in this crucial Super 12 match

Bangladesh opener Litton Das scored a quickfire 50 off just 21 balls in chase of Team India’s 185/7 but regular wickets at intervals proved to be Bangladesh’s downfall

India won by 5 runs via DLS Method

India held their nerves to secure a 5-run win (D/L method) over Bangladesh in a rain-marred last-over thriller at Adelaide Oval on Wednesday and strengthened their hopes of qualifying for the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup.

With this win, India has jumped to the top of the points table in Group 2 with six points in four matches, while South Africa has slipped to the second position with two games in hand. Bangladesh’s defeat complicates Pakistan’s hopes of making it to the final four of the ongoing T20 World Cup.

When the rain interrupted the match, Bangladesh was 17 runs ahead of the DLS par score. The match resumed at 4:50 PM IST, with Bangladesh setting a revised target of 151 in 16 overs. Das, who gave them a promising start in the powerplay, was out in the eighth over by KL Rahul who struck a brilliant direct hit to dismiss the on-song batter.
