India skipper Rohit Sharma and Pakistan captain Babar Azam are the two most key players for their respective nations. With brilliant leadership skills, these two batters also have great talent when it comes to batting. Their performance and records in the Test format speaks volume for them.

Meanwhile, a fan on Twitter compared Rohit and Babar by their Test format stats after 88 innings in the longest format. Babar has scored 3772 runs at an average of 47.75 after 88 innings, which includes nine centuries with the highest score of 196 runs. On the other hand, Rohit has scored 3677 runs at an average of 46.54, which includes 10 centuries and a highest score of 212 runs.

He further said that the kind of pitches Rohit has played on is enough to say that Rohit has a higher legacy than Babar. Many fans have reacted to the tweet and said that they can’t get compared with each other as Rohit is an opener while Babar is a middle-order batter.

Rohit and Babar’s recent Test performance

Rohit recently appeared in the 2-match Test series against West Indies where he displayed a brilliant batting performance. He smashed his 10 Test century in the first Test. In the 2nd Test, Rohit continued his brilliance and smashed half-centuries in both innings of the match.

Talking about Babar, he is currently in action in the ongoing 2-match Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He failed to produce anything special in the first Test as he managed to score 13 and 24 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively. The right-hander started brilliantly in the 2nd Test but got out after scoring 39 runs.

Talking about their captaincy in the longest format, Rohit is superior to Babar in terms of captaincy as he has led the Indian team to the recently concluded WTC 2023 final. However, they failed to win the grand contest and lost the match by 209 runs against Australia.
