Virat Kohli along with his world-class cricket skills has also introduced a fitness regimen to the Indian team making it one of the leanest and meanest on the field.
Virat Kohli is a household name since the mid of the last decade and his evolution from a talented young boy to becoming one of the best cricketers in the world is nothing short of extraordinary.
Along with his spotless batting records, one of the primary reasons for this said evolution is his disciplined personality and impeccable fitness.
Virat also established the same disciplined fitness among the Indian team which has helped the team to great extent.
This feat of Virat will be remembered for many years to come. But that day is far from now and currently, all everyone wants is for him to return to his run-scoring form both teammates and fans alike.
Kohli, in his interview with Indian Express, talked about his diet and fitness schedule along with dos and don’ts that he follows without fail.
“There was a time when I didn’t focus on diet and fitness but in the past few years, I have really changed the way I eat and have become more disciplined. I try to always have an absolute awareness of my food intake.
“The dos and don’ts for me are quite simple — no processed sugar, no gluten. I also avoid dairy as much as possible. Another trick that has helped me keep my health in check is to eat to 90 percent of my stomach’s capacity.”
“For a foodie like me, all of these things are not easy but at the end of the day, when you start seeing positive changes in your body, staying healthy truly becomes an addiction,” he added
“So, I make sure to stick to what I need to do whether it’s my diet, fitness routines, making sure that I don’t miss some repetitions or a couple of sets in the gym, or that I don’t snack on things which are not good for me.
All these changes make you realize you can go beyond a limit and push yourself to be the best version of yourself,” Virat said.
Virat Kohli missed the Zimbabwe and West Indies tour but is all set to bring his A game in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.
