Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh recently made a surprising revelation during his appearance on ‘The Ranveer Show,’ hosted by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. Yuvraj shared insights into his career and his relationship with the modern-day great cricket superstar Virat Kohli.

In the interview, Yuvraj mentioned that he doesn’t have much communication with Virat Kohli these days, primarily due to Kohli’s busy schedule. He went on to say that Kohli has transformed significantly over the years, emphasizing the change in his persona. Yuvraj fondly remembered the younger Kohli as “cheeku,” a nickname used to address him in his early cricketing days. He humorously remarked that now, the cheeku has evolved into the formidable Virat Kohli we all know.

Ranveer asked, “Do you talk to Virat Kohli?”

Yuvraj replied, “Not really, because he is busy, I don’t disturb him much.”

Ranveer asked Yuvraj about his bond with a young Virat Kohli.

Yuvraj replied, “Young virat Kohli ka naam the cheeku, aaj ke cheeku ka naam hai Virat Kohli, bohot fark hai. (Young Virat Kohli’s name was Chiku, today’s Chiku’s name is Virat Kohli, there is a lot of difference.) He refers this statement as when Kohli was young, he used to chill a lot with his friends, however, as he started growing up, he became a different person.”

Me and Mahi (MS Dhoni) are not close friends: Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj also revealed during the show that his relationship with former legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni, was primarily based on their cricketing association. He acknowledged that they weren’t particularly close friends, as their lifestyles differed significantly. Yuvraj emphasized that on the field, both players gave their utmost for the country.

“Me and Mahi are not close friends. We were friends because of cricket, we played together. Mahi’s lifestyle was very different from me, so we were never close friends, we were only friends because of cricket. When me and Mahi went on the ground, we gave more than 100% to our country. In that, he was captain, I was vice-captain. When I came into the team, I was 4 years junior. When you are captain and vice-captain, there will be decision differences.” Yuvraj was quoted as saying by Zee News.
