Pakistan pacer Arshad Iqbal took the wicket of Sai Sudarshan in the ninth over of the second innings. Batting first, the Green Brigade had a great start as Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan put together 121 runs for the first wicket. However, the team faced a mini collapse as they were reduced to 187/5. At this stage, India looked like making a comeback with the ball.

However, the likes of Tayyab Tahir and Mubasir Khan put together 126 runs for the sixth wicket. This helped the team recover from the mid-inning crisis and helped the team reach 352/8 at the end of the innings. The former scored 108 runs off just 71 balls while Khan scored 35 off 47 balls. The likes of Riyan Parag and Rajvardhan Hangargekar took two wickets each.

Sai Sudharshan was robbed by poor umpiring and video quality

The former Emerging Asia Cup champions came out to bat to chase down a difficult target. The likes of Sai Sudharsan and Abhishek Sharma provided a great start as they amassed 64 runs in 8.3 overs. In the ninth over, Arshad Iqbal bowled a bouncer and Sudharsan was caught by skipper Mohammad Haris behind the stumps.

The umpires asked the left-hander to stay on the ground as they wanted to check the no-ball. The replays were blurred but it still looked clear that the bowler has overstepped. Despite this, the Tamil Nadu player was given out. The fans aren’t happy with this development. Talking about the game, India is certain to lose the final.

At the time of writing, they have lost eight wickets and scored only 194 runs. They needed a whooping 159 runs in 18.4 overs with only two wickets left.

Following India’s heavy loss to Australia in the first Test of the series, Australian media highlighted key concerns for the Indian team, including Rohit Sharma’s performance as captain. Pat Cummins and his team’s emphatic win by 209 runs sparked discussions about India’s bowling strategy and batting collapse.

Australian newspapers like The Age underscored Mitchell Starc’s lethal bowling display as a stark reminder of his prowess in Test cricket. Starc’s fiery spell dismantled India’s top order, a performance seen as pivotal in Australia’s dominant victory. The media also pointed out the pressure mounting on Rohit Sharma for tactical shortcomings, including field placements and decision-making under challenging circumstances.

India’s batting lineup faltered against Australia’s aggressive bowling, with only a few players resisting. Critics emphasized that the Indian team’s inability to adapt to the pink-ball conditions in Adelaide cost them dearly. The media also praised Australia for its disciplined approach, particularly the consistency of its pace attack, which Starc and Cummins led.

As the series progresses, this defeat puts India under immense pressure to bounce back, especially with the spotlight on Rohit Sharma’s leadership and the team’s resilience. Fans now await India’s response in the next Test.
