Sachin Tendulkar praises Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal –
Former India batting legend Sachin Tendulkar was seen heaping praise on Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The 50-year-old took to social media to write his happiness about India’s two young batting talents.
“Double hundred. Double fifty. This duo of Yashasvi & Sarfaraz has been double trouble for England. I couldn’t watch them play live, but was very pleased to hear about their knocks. Keep it up,” wrote Sachin Tendulkar on Twitter.
Rohit Sharma also praised the amazing performance on debut by the 26-year-old. The Indian skipper speaking to the media at the end of the game said, “For this game, we thought he has got so much experience and has a lot of runs as well, we wanted that left-right combo, Sarfaraz being Sarfaraz and with the quality he has got, we wanted him to have time. We saw what he can do with the bat.”
The Indian skipper also said, “It’s not a long-term view, we go with the flow and what we feel on that particular day, looking at the opposition, the bowling attack. We calculate everything and then go with the flow.”
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan dominated the England bowling attack on day four of the game. The left-handed opening batter slammed James Anderson for three sixes in a row to set up the tempo. The 214 not out was his second successive double ton to add to his growing legend.

Mohammad Rizwan Faces Backlash for Underwhelming Knock in Pakistan’s Loss to South Africa
Mohammad Rizwan has come under heavy fire for his performance during Pakistan’s loss to South Africa in a high-stakes match. Critics described his innings as lackluster, accusing him of playing a “shameless” and “criminal” knock that failed to meet the demands of the situation. His inability to accelerate scoring when required drew ire from fans and analysts alike, with many questioning his intent and decision-making under pressure.
While Rizwan’s cautious approach ensured some stability, it proved inadequate against South Africa’s aggressive game plan. His inability to shift gears in critical moments ultimately hurt Pakistan’s chances, and his performance sparked a broader debate about his role and strategy in the team’s batting order. Some commentators were particularly scathing, questioning how Rizwan could reflect on his effort given the circumstances.
The incident has added to the scrutiny of Pakistan’s overall performance in the tournament, with many demanding better strategies and execution from key players. Rizwan, regarded as a pivotal figure in the lineup, now faces the challenge of responding to the criticism and delivering under pressure in future matches.
