Indian star Rinku Singh is the toast of the nation after his displays during the recent T20 series against Australia. The 26-year-old played the role of the enforcer as India won the series 4-1.

After the series was done and dusted, Rinku Singh and the rest of the Indian team were heading back home. Most of the players just get a few days off before heading to South Africa for a short tour.

Rinku Singh makes a fan happy –

India’s latest sensation Rinku Singh was making his way back home when he was approached by a fan. There was the usual request for an autograph, but rather than turn the fan down the Indian star stopped. The 26-year-old could be seen sporting a smile and signing autograph for the fan.

The 26-year-old scored 105 runs from the 5 games that he played against Australia. Rinku Singh stole the show with the bat and played a crucial role in India’s close win during the 1st T20 in Visakhapatnam.

Team India was chasing a huge total on the board on a pitch that was getting slower and lower. The 22 runs from 14 balls was crucial for India as the team won the game by 2 wickets with a ball to spare.

Former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra was in full praise for Rinku Singh for his exploits. The Gujarat Titans coach made his comments while speaking at the end of the game on host broadcaster Jio Cinema.

Ashish Nehra said “There is no doubt that Rinku Singh is a contender for inclusion in India’s T20 World Cup squad. But the World Cup is still far away and the spot he is fighting for has many challengers. You can look at Jitesh Sharma and Tilak Varma”

The 44-year-old continued and said “We will have to discuss the positions where Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya will play. So, we have to see how many spots are available in the 15-member squad. But one thing is sure, he has opened everyone’s eyes and put everyone under pressure. But there is still a lot of time to go. The trip to South Africa is coming up followed by the IPL”
