Sikandar Raza has given his opinion on the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Premier League (PSL). To the disappointment of the supporters of the PSL, the Zimbabwean cricketer claimed IPL to be the best league in the world. The star cricketer claimed that the availability of the best players in the world makes the league special.

Raza claimed the crowd support in the IPL to be unique. He also added that PSL is not far away in terms of crowd support for the teams. He then felt that IPL stands out from every league including the PSL. Raza felt that IPL was better than PSL due to a lot of factors. Though Raza claimed himself not to be a big fan of comparisons, he added that IPL is the best league on the planet.

“IPL is by far the best league when it comes to PSL also. Like, it is much better than PSL. That’s what I’m trying to say. Yeah, I’m not a big fan of comparisons. But yes, it is. I think IPL is the biggest league on the planet,” Raza said. The star All-rounder claimed himself to be lucky to play in the cash-rich league. Raza expressed his gratefulness for PBKS for picking him in the IPL.

Sikandar Raza indebted to Punjab Kings

The Zimbabwean claimed that he could not repay their faith. Sikandar revealed that only PBKS had raised the baton to get him in the auction of the IPL 2023. Raza felt that if not for PBKS, he might not have had an opportunity to play in the IPL. The experienced campaigner felt that everything changed for him after joining PBKS.

The star cricketer hopes to give his best for the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024. He had a couple of good performances with the bat and was handy with the ball in the IPL 2023. Given his form in recent times, Punjab Kings will need Raza to be at his best for the balance of the side.

Following India’s heavy loss to Australia in the first Test of the series, Australian media highlighted key concerns for the Indian team, including Rohit Sharma’s performance as captain. Pat Cummins and his team’s emphatic win by 209 runs sparked discussions about India’s bowling strategy and batting collapse.

Australian newspapers like The Age underscored Mitchell Starc’s lethal bowling display as a stark reminder of his prowess in Test cricket. Starc’s fiery spell dismantled India’s top order, a performance seen as pivotal in Australia’s dominant victory. The media also pointed out the pressure mounting on Rohit Sharma for tactical shortcomings, including field placements and decision-making under challenging circumstances.

India’s batting lineup faltered against Australia’s aggressive bowling, with only a few players resisting. Critics emphasized that the Indian team’s inability to adapt to the pink-ball conditions in Adelaide cost them dearly. The media also praised Australia for its disciplined approach, particularly the consistency of its pace attack, which Starc and Cummins led.

As the series progresses, this defeat puts India under immense pressure to bounce back, especially with the spotlight on Rohit Sharma’s leadership and the team’s resilience. Fans now await India’s response in the next Test.
