Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan is set to create cinematic history by joining forces with his daughter, Suhana Khan, for the first time in an action-packed thriller titled “King.” The collaboration, which has sparked immense anticipation among fans, is a significant moment in the father-daughter duo’s careers.

Titled in homage to Shah Rukh‘s endearing nickname, “King Khan,” the film is slated to be directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh. “King” is expected to be a gripping narrative that combines the charismatic presence of Shah Rukh with the fresh talent of Suhana. The film is scheduled to commence filming in January 2024, promising an exciting start to the new year for Bollywood enthusiasts.

“The film has been titled King and will be a one-of-a-kind action thriller with strong dynamics shared by Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. One would have expected SRK and Suhana to team up on a relatively soft film against the backdrop of father and daughter, but they are ready to break the norm by collaborating for the first time on an action thriller.” a source was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Suhana is set to maker her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s directorial series

As details about the plot and characters remain tightly under wraps, the announcement has already generated a buzz, leaving fans eager to witness the magic that this unique collaboration is bound to unfold on the silver screen. Meanwhile, Suhana is set to make her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s directorial ‘The Archies’ in December, which will be premiered on Netflix.

“The flavour of action in King will be very different from what SRK has done in Pathaan and Jawan. This one would be sleek with a lot of chase sequences. However, the core plot is emotional and driven by the story. It has lots of twists and turns, which is the reason why Sujoy has been bestowed with the responsibility of direction,” the source added.
