PSL 2024: Kieron Pollard departs tournament mid-way, watch to know real reason

Former West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard has left the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2024. The 36-year-old is part of the Karachi Kings team which is set to take on Multan Sultans on Sunday. With four points from 5 games, Karachi Kings are in the second position from the bottom of the point table.

Karachi fans need not worry as the star West Indian player is in India. Kieron Pollard has reached Jamnagar to be part of Anant Ambani’s wedding that is taking place. Mumbai Indians and Kieron Pollard share a great bond.

For 13 years, Kieron Pollard was a key part of the Mumbai Indians team. After being let go in 2022, Pollard took retirement from IPL to not play for any other side. Since calling time on his IPL career, Kieron Pollard has been part of the team as the batting coach.

Well-known figures from different parts of the world have made their way to Jamnagar which also includes Kieron Pollard. The 36-year-old walked in with his luggage in tow as the cameras welcomed the former IPL legend.

It has come to light that Kieron Pollard will not be part of Karachi Kings next game on Sunday. Shan Masood and his side will avail the services of Kieron Pollard for their next game on 6th March.

Lahore Qalandars are already out of the tournament as they are bottom of the table. In their previous game, Karachi lost to Quetta to slip to 5th in the table. Kieron Pollard scored just 13 runs as Karachi could only muster 165 on the board. Jason Roy’s 52 and Sherfane Rutherford’s 58 helped Quetta win a last-ball thriller.

Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Graeme Smith, Sam Curran, and many more are already in Jamnagar. The wedding is also witnessing the likes of Rihanna and Mark Zuckerberg make their presence felt.

Anant Ambani is the second son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani the biggest names of Reliance Industries. The Ambani’s also own the Mumbai Indians franchise in the IPL as well as teams in SA20 and ILT20.
