The world is eagerly waiting for this encounter between India and Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.

On Thursday, Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq addressed a press conference where he spoke about the bowling attack and also spoke about how the now-viral picture of Virat Kohli and Babar Azam sends out a positive message.

On Wednesday, both Indian and Pakistan cricket teams practiced and it was then that Virat Kohli was seen interacting with Babar Azam.

The picture has now gone viral on social media

“Some years back, I went to play an All-Star Game, there were top 25 cricketers of the world and we were playing together.

“Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne got everyone together, that time around, I had put out a tweet”

“Both Indian and Pakistan fans had stitched together flags and they were displaying it in unison,” Saqlain added

“I had tweeted then that it is just not cricket and entertainment. It helps people understand so many things, it is bringing everyone together.

“This helps in giving lessons about humanity. I think yesterday’s picture between Babar and Virat gives a good message,” he added.

“It is entertainment, it is a sport. The emotions run high, but at the end of the day, it is a sport.” Saqlain said

“We are trying to spread the message of love and kindness. That is why players from both countries mingle with each other.”

Indo-Pak matches help ‘spread love and kindness, says Saqlain

“Of course, these two teams will be competing. There will be emotions involved, nations are supported. But at the end of the day, it’s a game.” Saqlain said

“It should be enjoyed and I believe that all players especially from India and Pakistan – are trying to send a positive message of kindness to the world,” he added

“This is why our players go meet the Indian players and vice-versa. I think it sends a beautiful message,” he added.

“This was a culmination of several things which were depicting that cricket is bringing humanity together.”

“Yes, we play matches, there are different angles and emotions involved but this sends a message for love and humanity as well. Yesterday’s pictures summed up all of this very well.” Saqlain said

Saqlain Mushtaq talks about Pakistan’s bowling attack in absence of Afridi

All three [Shaheen, Haris, and Naseem] have executed Pakistan’s requirements and plans very well for a long time,” he said.

“The captain, myself as the head coach, and the support staff have full confidence in them. I think we shouldn’t have doubts about this situation.

“Shaheen, obviously, leads [the bowling] and isn’t available, unfortunately. But all the three bowlers are such that in any given situation of the day, they can change the game,” added the head coach
