The wait is over!
The perennial lovebirds Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have announced their marriage.
The couple, who were supposed to tie the knot in 2021, are now getting married this year.
If you recall, the Covid-19 pandemic had caused a delay in their wedding.
When enquired about her wedding plans, Richa Chadha said, “I think shaadi ho jaegi iss saal. Kar lenge kisi tarah se (We will get married this year, will marry somehow).”
“We’re very excited to get married but (we are) just worried about Covid and want to be responsible.”
Richa and Ali have been dating since 2015.
They made their relationship official when they attended the premiere of ‘Victoria and Abdul’ in Venice in 2017.
They first met on the set of their film ‘Fukrey’ and fell in love.
Reportedly after dating for years, Fazal proposed to his lady love on the picturesque Maldives island.
Fazal has started shooting for the third season of ‘Mirzapur’ and was last seen in Gal Gadot’s film ‘Death on the Nile’.
Meanwhile, Richa has ‘Fukrey 3’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi ‘, ‘Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai’ in her kitty.
The wedding festivities will take place in Mumbai and Delhi with close friends and family in attendance.
They will get married in last week of September in Delhi since most of their family resides there.
There will be a sangeet and mehendi ceremony leading up to the wedding.
Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha will also host a grand reception in Mumbai.
