Where is Virat Kohli? Fans enquire as he’s missing from ICC post.
There is no denying Virat Kohli’s popularity among cricket fans in India and throughout the world, despite the fact that he is no longer the captain and the team’s leading scorer.
It became clear when the International Cricket Council (ICC) posted a video of some of the Indian team’s players in the lead-up to their ICC T20 World Cup 2022 encounter against Pakistan on October 23.
There was no Virat Kohli in the video, only the captain Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal placing their hands to the insignia on their chests. Fans immediately let their disappointment show.
“Where is King Kohli”, “Oooooo paji ,Virat paji kidar he?” “Ma king ekkada”, “Will ready but Incomplete without Virat Kohli”, “Kohli ke bina team india zero h chahe jitna achcha khelo,” said a few responses from different parts of the country.
India, which won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007, will compete in Group 2 of the Super 12 stage of the tournament together with Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, and two more qualifying teams from the first round.
After playing their Super 12 matches on October 27 (against the first qualifier side from Round One at SCG), October 30 (against South Africa at Perth Stadium), November 2 (against Bangladesh at Adelaide Oval), and November 6 (against archrivals Pakistan at the MCG), following their match on October 23 against their archrivals Pakistan (against second qualifier side from Round One at MCG).
