Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s mother’s residence in MDC Sector 4, Panchkula has been reported burgled. Shabnam Singh, the legendary all-rounder’s mother, has lodged a complaint in the matter at the MDC police station. The theft is six months old, but a case has now been registered as Shabnam has been staying at their alternate residence in Gurgaon since September 2023.

The horrifying incident resulted in the theft of Rs 75,000 in cash and various pieces of jewelry. Shabnam is suspicious of the household staff employed there – housekeeping staff, Lalita Devi from Saketdi, and the cook Sildar Pal from Bihar. Upon her return to the MDS house from Gurgaon on October 5, 2023, she found that jewelry and the reported amount were missing from the cupboard in a first-floor room.

Shabnam tried to investigate the matter personally but could not find any leads. Notably, Lalita Devi and Sildar Pal abruptly quit their jobs during the Diwali festival period, making Yuvraj’s mother even more suspicious of her former employees. According to reports, the police have officially registered a case and started further investigation.
