Shamar Joseph bowled a brilliant spell in the ongoing Test between Australia and the West Indies at the Gabba. In the 2nd innings, the right-arm pacer was a bit expensive but claimed all the important wickets of the batters. The 24-year-old had to be resilient and determined while bowling given the challenges he had before bowling in the 2nd innings of the match.

While batting in the 2nd innings, Joseph was yorked out by Mitchell Starc. It was so lethal that the right-arm pacer suffered a huge blow on his toe. In the process, the pacer started limping back towards his pavilion. Things did not seem good and one wondered if the youngster would be able to bowl in the 2nd innings against Australia. As it turned out, Shamar is bowling well.

In his spell of 10 overs, Shamar has claimed 6 wickets so far before the dinner break on the 4th day. Although the youngster has conceded 60 runs, he has been able to get the big wickets of the batters of the home side. Joseph has dismissed the likes of Cameron Green, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey, Mitchell Starc, and Pat Cummins. The pacer has been highly impressive so far.

Variety of dismissals from Shamar Joseph

The way Jospeh has dismissed the batters has been amazing. For Green, the right-arm pacer bowled on a good length and the ball nipped in just enough to hit the top of off stump. He followed it up with a terrific yorker to dismiss Travis Head, who has registered the 2nd golden duck of the match. Shamar bowled a very good delivery with a good pace to get rid of Mitchell Marsh.

Joseph bowled a fuller-length delivery to send Alex Carey back to the pavilion. It was as good as it could get. He then delivered a shorter delivery to dismiss Mitchell Starc, who tried to loft the ball over the mid-wicket region. The youngster followed it up by delivering a ball that had an extra bounce to send Pat Cummins back to the pavilion.
