During the ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ party, one of the contestants (Now Evicted), Sangeeta Phogat was seen lifting India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. As the former comes from a prestigious family of champion wrestlers, it was easy for her to lift Chahal. Meanwhile, in the video that is going viral, the wrestler not just lifted the leg-spinner but also spun around which is why he could be seen feeling slight dizziness.

Meanwhile, the wrestler has been eliminated from the show. On the other hand, Chahal’s wife and Choreographer by profession, Dhanashree Verma continues to contest the show. The Haryana player has been supporting her. Not to forget, Rajasthan Royals and England cricketer, Jos Buttler uploaded an Instagram story, urging his fans to vote for Verma.

For the unversed, the contestant has to perform well and be retained/eliminated based on public voting. On the cricketing front, Chahal has found himself out of the team since last year. He last played on ODI in January last year. Eight months later, the former Royal Challengers Bangalore player in the IPL played his last T20I game up until now.

The 33-year-old missed out on the ODI World Cup 2023. His last game in a World Event (Be it the Champions Trophy, T20, or ODI WC) was way back in 2019 when India lost to New Zealand in the semis. The Rajasthan Royals player in the cash-rich league missed out on selection for T20 WC 2021 and didn’t play a single game in the 2022 edition.

With the upcoming T20 WC to be played in the West Indies and USA, Chahal might have the opportunity as a leg-spinner tend to do well in the Caribbean.
