India won their 3rd match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 after defeating their arch-rivals Pakistan by 7 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14. The Men in Blue would like to continue their winning run when they will be facing Bangladesh on October 19.

Meanwhile, a video is getting viral on social media in which India’s veteran batter Virat Kohli can be seen sharing a warm hug with India’s captain Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh. The moment of embrace happened when Kohli was going back to the hotel with his wife Anushka Sharma where he also met Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba and Ravichandran Ashwin’s wife Prithi.

Watch the video here:

The Indian team maintained their perfect record against Pakistan in the grand event, making it 8-0 with a convincing victory in the 2023 ODI World Cup. This achievement ties them for the best head-to-head record in ODI World Cup history, alongside Pakistan, who also have an 8-0 record against Sri Lanka in the same context.

Brilliant all-round performance by India

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Rohit Sharma made the decision due to the dew factor. The Pakistan team started well, with Babar Azam’s half-century providing a solid foundation. At the 30th over mark, Pakistan was 155/2, and their fans might have hoped for a total close to 300. However, the momentum shifted when Mohammed Siraj dismissed Babar, leading to a nightmare for Pakistan. They lost their last eight wickets for a mere 36 runs and were bowled out for 191 in just under 43 overs.

In response, Shubman Gill, who had returned from injury, struck four boundaries before being dismissed by Shaheen Afridi. Nonetheless, Rohit Sharma, who had played well in the previous game against Afghanistan, continued his good form with a lively innings of 86 off 63 balls. Virat Kohli was unfortunate, getting out for 16. However, Shreyas Iyer scored his first half-century in a World Cup and, along with KL Rahul, finished the game in the 31st over, securing India’s third consecutive victory in the tournament.
