“Dear Team India, your talent and determination through the World Cup was noteworthy. You’ve played with great spirit and brought immense pride to the nation. We stand with you today and always.” he tweeted.
Reflecting on India’s journey in the World Cup 2023, they maintained an undefeated streak throughout the tournament, securing victories in all 10 matches, including the semi-final. However, in a crucial must-win game, the Men in Blue couldn’t replicate the stellar performance that had characterized their tournament.
Contrastingly, Australia, after a challenging start with two initial losses, made a remarkable comeback and remained unbeaten for the rest of the tournament. Notably, the Kangaroos faced defeats against India and South Africa in the league stage but emerged victorious against both teams in the knockout stages.
