War

The makers of ‘War 2’ have announced the release date of the movie. The big movie is set to release in mid-August, during the Independence Day weekend of 2025. The movie is not going to be released anytime soon. It is yet to be made and some of the key actors for the movie are busy in completing their other schedules before being available for War 2.

Jr NTR is set to make his Bollywood debut as an antagonist in the movie. War 2 is the sequel to the 2019 movie ‘War’, which had Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. Both movies are a part of the spy universe, which has gained immense popularity in the last few years. Particularly after the success of Pathan earlier this year, the sky seems to be the only limit in the universe.

Popular film trade analyst Tran Adarsh confirmed the release date of ‘War 2’ on X. “#BreakingNews… YRF announces War 2 release date: Independence Day weekend 2025… The sixth film from #YRFSpyUniverse – #War2 – now has a release date… Get ready for mayhem at the #Boxoffice on 14 Aug 2025 [Thursday]… #AyanMukerji directs the film that’s produced by #YRF,” wrote Taran.

Spy Universe gets bigger

Ayan Mukerji will be the fourth director in the universe. ‘Ek tha Tiger’ was the first movie in the universe, which was directed by Kabir Khan. Ali Abba Zafar directed ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, the sequel to ‘Ek tha Tiger’ in 2018. ‘War’ was directed by Siddharth Anand in 2019. The sequel of the same is under the making, which will be directed by Ayan Mukerji. Salman Khan has been the biggest star of the universe till now.

Shah Rukh Khan made his comeback earlier this year by delivering an INR 1000cr+ hit for the first time in his career. Salman made his comeback in the year too, as ‘Tiger 3’ turned out to be a success at the Box office. All the movies in the universe have been huge hits. ‘Pathan’ and ‘Tiger 3’ are directed by Siddharth Aanand and Manish Sharma respectively. All the eyes will be on ‘War 2’, which is expected to be bigger.
