Thank You For Coming

Heat was turned up at the ‘Thank You For Coming’ song launch ceremony by Bhumi Pednekar and Shehnaaz Gill. They dressed entirely in black. The upcoming Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani movie ‘Thank You For Coming’ stars Shibani Bedi, Kusha Kapila, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar.

The stars appeared last night in Mumbai for the premiere of their first song from the film Haanji. While Bhumi, Shehnaaz, Kusha, and Shibani wore all-black outfits for the event, Dolly opted for a golden glittery little dress. With their seductive attire, they turned up the heat. However, Bhumi and Shehnaaz’s attractiveness took centre stage.

At the Thank You For Coming song launch event, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, and Shibani Bedi were photographed beside Bhumi Pednekar and Shehnaaz Gill. The images and videos depict the star cast having a great time as they pose for the cameras on the red carpet, dance to Haanji, and Shehnaaz pops champagne. Bhumi wore a cropped shirt and matching trousers, and Shehnaaz looked lovely in a halter-neck little dress.

Bhumi Pednekar’s sleeveless black fake leather cropped blouse has a fitting silhouette, intricate gold front button closures, a front slit, a curved hem that reveals her toned stomach, cut-outs on the back, and pointed collars. She paired it with black trousers that had a relaxed fit, a low-rise waist and a flared hem.

The last glam decisions she made included centre-parted open wavy hair, winged eyeliner, feathery brows, a glossy nude lip colour, flushed cheekbones, mascara on the lashes, and shining highlighter.

“Intelligent Stubbornness”: Manoj Bajpayee on Chasing Dreams and Staying Relevant

How does the son of a farmer from a small village in Bihar rise to stardom in the bustling and competitive world of Mumbai’s film industry? For Manoj Bajpayee, the answer lies in being “intelligently stubborn.”

The versatile actor, known for roles ranging from Bhiku Mhatre in Satya to Srikant Tiwari in The Family Man, attributes his success to his ability to navigate challenging circumstances without losing sight of his dreams. Speaking to PTI, Bajpayee reflected on his journey, which began in the village of Belwa and led to a celebrated career in both mainstream and arthouse cinema.

“You have to be intelligently stubborn and audacious,” Bajpayee shared. “Circumstances and situations will test you constantly and make you doubt yourself. But commitment to your dreams is what keeps you going.”

After his breakthrough role in Ram Gopal Varma’s 1998 underworld drama Satya, Bajpayee was inundated with offers to play similar roles. However, he was determined not to be typecast. “I was stubborn about not getting boxed into one type of role. The industry didn’t know what else to offer me, so they offered money. But I refused. I knew that if I became a villain, I might never escape that image,” he explained.

Bajpayee’s calculated defiance set him apart. Inspired by the careers of other actors like Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Kay Kay Menon, he charted a unique path, taking on diverse roles in films such as Shool, Gangs of Wasseypur, Aligarh, and Sonchiriya. His adaptability extended to digital platforms, with standout performances in Gulmohar and The Family Man.

Growing up as one of six siblings, Bajpayee dreamed of acting despite his family’s limited means. At 17, he moved to Delhi, pursued education to honor his mother’s wishes, and immersed himself in theatre before heading to Mumbai. His persistence bore fruit with a small role in Drohkaal (1994) and recognition in Bandit Queen. His big break came with Satya, which not only launched his career but also inspired countless others from Bihar to chase their dreams.

“It wasn’t just my village; many young people from Bihar gained the courage to step out of their comfort zones after Satya. It showed them that if I could do it, they could too,” he said.

Despite his success, Bajpayee remains connected to his roots in Belwa. “When I was there, I wanted to leave. Now that I’ve achieved my dreams, I feel drawn back.”

Bajpayee’s upcoming project, Despatch, where he plays investigative journalist Joy Bag, will premiere on ZEE5 on December 13. His journey, defined by resilience and intelligent stubbornness, continues to inspire dreamers across the country.
