The much-awaited Super 4 clash of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 between India and Pakistan finally continued on Monday, September 11 after the game got washed out on Sunday. The Indian team continued from where they left on the score of 147 runs after losing 2 wickets in 24.1 overs.

Meanwhile, India’s veteran batter KL Rahul finally made a triumphant return to the cricketing arena after recovering from an injury. He set the stage ablaze against arch-rivals Pakistan. Rahul’s remarkable comeback was nothing short of a fairytale as he crafted a scintillating century.

The cricketing world witnessed his unwavering determination and sublime skills as he took on the Pakistani bowlers with precision and poise. Rahul’s return to form not only bolstered India’s batting lineup but also sent a resounding message to his competitors. It was a heartening sight for fans as the talented batsman proved his mettle, marking a memorable moment in his cricketing career.

Brilliant partnership between KL Rahul and Virat Kohli

Talking about the match, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first but their decision backfired as Indian openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma thrashed the Pakistani pacers in the powerplay and stitched a magnificent 121-run stand for the first wicket.

Both also completed their half-centuries and were also looking well but none of them was able to score big. But then, India’s star batter Virat Kohli joined hands with Rahul and both took the innings forward despite the fact they were interrupted by the rain on Sunday. But that didn’t affect their batting style and they showed aggressive intent and kept the scoreboard running with a good run rate.

Both Kohli and Rahul completed their centuries and helped the Indian to put up 356 runs on the scoreboard. Rahul scored 111 runs off 106 balls which included 12 fours and 2 sixes while Kohli scored 122 runs off just 94 deliveries and smashed 9 fours and 3 sixes. Pakistani bowlers were quite expensive except Naseem Shah who conceded only 53 runs in 9.2 overs but was unfortunate to get a wicket.
