Although he played 14 matches in his debut campaign in IPL 2015, he scored just 151 runs.
However, they came at a strike rate of almost 160.
In fact, he scored the fastest half-century (22 balls) for Rajasthan Royals in 2015.
His gentle off-spinners and hard-hitting lower down the order have been invaluable in the IPL.
No wonder, he has always been in demand in every IPL auction.

Took panga with Krunal Pandya

Deep Hooda is no pushover.
If he thinks somebody has done something wrong, Hooda is known to stand up and speak his mind.

In fact, he was involved in a major fight with Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda while playing for Baroda in 2021

Hooda was appointed as vice-captain of Baroda for the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 competition this season.
However, he abruptly quit the team and left the hotel after a verbal altercation with Pandya on January 9.
Hooda accused Pandya of using abusive language and threatening to end his career.
Hooda later dashed off an email to the BCA management and also accused Pandya of abusing him during the practice session.
The Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) had handed Hooda a suspension.
But having played together for the Super Giants in the IPL, Hooda and Pandya seemed to have resolved their personal issues.
Eventually, Hooda made his debut for India in the home series against the West Indies.
