Kabh thik se khelna sikhegi’- Fans react as Australia Women beat India Women by whooping 190 runs in 3rd ODI
Australia Women beat India Women in the third and final ODI of the series by 190 runs. They have cleanly swept the hosts at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Alyssa Healy’s side won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted their highest-ever total against India, batting first as they put on 338/7 in 50 overs. India’s dismal home ODI record against Australia persisted, as their current losing skid against the world champions currently stands at eleven games.
Phoebe Litchfield was the star of the win, as the young opener scored a brilliant century against Harmanpreet Kaur’s side. Healy and Litchfield stitched a massive 189-run partnership for the first wicket. No bowlers had the response to their excellent batting display at the iconic Wankhede.
The skipper has not performed as per expectations in the whole series as she failed to cross the double digit as well. Shreyanka Patil was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets.
Litchfield scores big against India
Litchfield scored 119 runs off 125 deliveries hitting 16 fours and 1 six. The Aussie skipper missed a well-deserved century as she scored 82 runs off 85 balls hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes. Ashleigh Gardner scored 30 runs off 27 deliveries, smashing 4 boundaries.
In reply, the hosts never were into the game as they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. No batter could go past 30 runs in the Indian innings. In reply, Georgia Wareham picked up three wickets while the likes of Megan Schutt, Alana King, and Annabel Sutherland, scalped 2 wickets each.
The 20-year-old batter was adjudged the Player of the Match award. Litchfield said, “I think the first inning was a challenge and the second one was more of a challenge. This inning, went out there and got a bit lucky but yeah. I think it’s assessing the conditions as early as possible.”
“[On her catches] That’s a pretty good feeling when it sticks, it’s great. I practice them in training. You just throw up your mitts, they sometimes stick, and sometimes don’t. Winning all three ODIs is a pretty good feat for the team, especially after losing the Test.”

Roberts critiqued Mohammed Siraj, stating he has yet to reach the same level as Bumrah and Shami. He highlighted that Shami’s ability to relentlessly hit good lengths and extract movement makes him India’s standout bowler. He urged Indian cricket to focus more on nurturing such talent for long-term success in international cricket.
