Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will lock horns at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, Ahmadabad on 29th May (Sunday) for the Final of IPL 2022.

The Titans will have an upper hand over Rajasthan Royals as they have beaten them twice this season.

Performance in the previous game

Gujarat Titans:

In the first Qualifier, Gujrat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets.

Rajasthan Royals managed to post 188-6 on the scoreboard due to a brilliant knock from Jos Buttler who smashed 89 runs from just 56 balls including 12 fours and 2 sixes.

Sanju Samson also scored 47 runs off 26 balls including 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Later, Gujarat Titans chased down this total in the final over with 3 balls to spare.

Pitch Report

We witnessed a low-scoring game at the Narendra Modi Stadium as the pitch helped the bowling side in the first innings while the batters looked comfortable in the second innings.

Hence, both teams will like to bat second at this pitch in the all-important Final.

GT Probable Playing 11

Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade, Hardik Pandya ©, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Yash Dayal, Alzarri Joseph, Mohammed Shami.

RR Probable Playing 11

Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Riyan Parag, Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, R Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal, Obed McCoy.

Star bowler of the match

Rashid Khan is a big match player and although he didn’t pick too many wickets but he was one of the most economical bowlers of this season.

Rashid Khan will be the star bowler of the final.

Star batsman of the match

Jos Buttler is looking unstoppable in the playoffs as he scored 89 and 106* runs respectively in the two Qualifier games for RR.

The orange cap holder has scored 827 runs this season and he is expected to score another big knock in the final.

Star Wicketkeeper of the match

Sanju Samson smacked 47 runs in the 1st Qualifier against Gujrat Titans.

He is the second-highest run-scorer for RR in this tournament and he will be the star wicketkeeper in this match.

Star all-rounder of the match

Hardik Pandya played a match-winning knock of 40 runs in the 1st Qualifier for Rajasthan.

Pandya is also bowling some tight overs and he will be the star all-rounder in the most important game of the season.

Who will win?

Both teams have many big players in their line-ups but it all depends on controlling their nerves in the all-important final.

Rajasthan Royals have a strong bowling attack while Gujrat Titans won most of their matches by teamwork.

Gujrat Titans have some big match-winners and finishers in their batting lineup while Rajasthan Royals will highly depend on Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson which is their biggest weak point.

Hence, we predict that Gujrat Titans will be the champions of IPL 2022.
