‘Film never got boring in 3 hours’ – Fans impressed with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, call it Cillian Murphy’s best work yet
Cristopher Nolan made and Cillian Murphy starrer Oppenheimer has released on July 21 early in the day. About the movie, it is based on American physicist Robert Oppenheimer (called the “father of the atomic bomb”). The film highlights the dilemma of scientists about the advancement of technology. The physicist worked on the bombs that were infamously dropped on Japanese cities such as Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The action was taken in 1945 to avenge the attack on Pearl Harbour in Hawaii islands. Meanwhile, the attack not just killed many people during World War two years before India’s independence from the Draconian British Raj. It also left the survivors with irreversible medical conditions that carried through generations. Talking about Oppenheimer’s life, he was born in New York in 1904, 12 years before the first World War.
Belonging to one of the first German-Jewish migrants in the United States that became wealthy via the textile trade. He was known to be shy but brilliant in his profession.
He attended Harvard University to study chemistry in 1922, as per Sky News. Although he graduated top of his class three years later, a love of physics drew the young Oppenheimer down a different scientific path.
Mr Oppenheimer was said to have been distraught that the bomb was used twice, and told then US President Truman that he felt there was “blood on my hands”.
I did read the Bhagavad Gita to prepare for the role: Cillian Murphy
The veteran actor, who gained worldwide fame through Peaky Blinders on Netflix shared an interesting story. The 47-year-old said that he read the Holy Book of Bhagavad Gita to prepare for the film.
“I did read the Bhagavad Gita in preparation, and I thought it was an absolutely beautiful text, very inspiring. I think it was a consolation to him, he kind of needed it and it provided him a lot of consolation, all his life.”
“Well don’t grill me on it!” and added, “I just found it very beautiful.”

I’ll need a couple more viewings to process my thoughts on #Oppenheimer, but my initial impression: the Trinity sequence is one of the best directed moments in Nolan’s career, it has some of the most terrifying scenes in any film this year, and it has Nolan’s best ending. pic.twitter.com/NqzslmrVKf

#Oppenheimer has been watched. So much to process. It surprised me on so many levels. Some quick thoughts on the most NOLAN-esque Nolan movie:
-In addition to being his most intimate film yet, this is also his least crowd-pleasing work, thereby, naturally, making it his most… pic.twitter.com/YirLdf5uzw
