Brahmastra continues to grow in second week
The second Friday performance is a clear indicator of a film’s collections.
The makers of Brahmastra will be happy that it showed a big jump on its second Friday compared to the Thursday numbers.
This means, the film is drawing a repeat viewership or more people have decided to watch the film, based on good word-of-mouth.
The movie (Hindi version) did very well on its second Friday grossing around 8.25 crores which is more than the Thursday number.
Most of this growth came from the bigger centres dominated by multiplexes.
In the smaller centres and single screens, it underperformed.
For a big film to be a BLOCKBUSTER, it needs universal acceptance from big metros and smaller cities.
However, if the bigger cities and multiplexes continue to garner good response, the movie can become a HIT.
In fact, the second Saturday numbers will be crucial in deciding if the movie can be a HIT.
Overall, the film has been positively received all across India.
Even in Bihar, collections have crossed 4 crores due to a strong showing in top 4-5 cities like Patna and Sasaram. Interestingly, Bihar is a circuit dominated by single screens.
The collections of the film are now 154 crore plus in Hindi.
The film has also collected 19 crores in languages which takes the total to 173 crores.
The collections of Brahmastra (Hindi) are as follows.
First Week – 146 Crores
Friday – 8.25 Crores
TOTAL – 154 Crores
These figures exclude the worldwide collections and are related only to India.
