Apart from opener Kusal Perera, not a single batter looked comfortable against Kiwi pacers. Perera, in his innings, scored 51 runs off 28 balls with the help of nine fours and two sixes.

New Zealand pacer Trent Boult clinched three wickets as he dismissed Sri Lanka skipper Kusal Mendis, Charith Asalanka, and Sadeera Samrawickrama. Meanwhile, Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson took a wicket each. On the other hand, spinner Mitchell Santner got two wickets too. It’s worth noting that if New Zealand chases the target set by Sri Lanka in 35 overs or less, Pakistan will need to beat England by 225 runs or in 14 overs to surpass their NRR.
