WATCH: MS Dhoni caught smoking as viral video leaves netizens stunned

Published

Former Indian skipper and cricket legend MS Dhoni has left fans across the world stunned. There is a short video doing the rounds where the 42-year-old can be seen smoking Hookah. It is something that MS Dhoni fans across the world cannot fathom as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper has always been known to be clean-cut.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is expected to be the final season of MS Dhoni as an active cricket player. Last year Chennai Super Kings had thrillingly won their fifth IPL title. Ravindra Jadeja smashed a last-ball four to help his side beat Gujarat Titans (GT).

Despite his recent fitness concerns, Dhoni has come out and promised his fans one more season. Chennai Super Kings have also made huge purchases during the IPL 2024 Auction which was held in Dubai late last year.

George Bailey’s old statement on MSD comes to light –

Former Australian player and Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper George Bailey had spoken about MS Dhoni and his fondness for Hookah. The former Aussie skipper termed that MSD likes to engage in Hookah on an occasional basis.

An old statement made by Bailey to Australian Cricket’s official site came to light. The statement was “He likes smoking a bit of the sheesha or the hookah. So, he quite often would set that up in his room, and it was very much an open-door policy. You would go in and quite often find a lot of younger players there. For India or a lot of other cricket teams, it can be hierarchical, but he certainly broke that down,”

The former PBKS skipper also said “You just find yourself in his room late at night chatting inevitably about the game or about different facets of the game or about different people and with different people it’s a great way to break down barriers”

MS Dhoni fans though are shocked and outraged at the latest video which has come to light. Many have expressed their disappointment at their idol sending out the wrong message to his fans.

With the IPL just over three months away, fans will hope that MS Dhoni can be fit. Last year the former India skipper was seen struggling with issues to his knee. With 2024 likely to be his swansong year, MS Dhoni will want to leave after doing something special for his fans.
