The epic Ramayana adaption Adipurush, which was directed by Om Raut, has received harsh reviews since it was released. Many reviewers and critics expressed concern about specific dialogues in the movie. ‘Marega bete,’ ‘bua ka bagicha hain kya,’ and ‘jalegi tere baap ki’ are a few of the dialogues for which the producers have received criticism.

Meanwhile, the dialogue writer of the movie and popular lyricist Manoj Muntashir has come forward and posted an apology on his Twitter handle. Manoj said that he accepts that Adipurush has hurt people’s sentiments. And now, he wants to apologise to the people with folded hands.

“I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation,” Manoj tweeted on July 8.

Here’ Manoj Muntashir’s Tweet:

Adipurush’s team were caught up in a big controversy over the film’s dialogue

The creators of Adipurush revised the dialogues in response to online criticism and fury. But the harm had already been done. The producer, director, and writer of the movie should be charged, the All India Cine Workers Association demanded in a letter to Mumbai Police and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

In the Allahabad and Delhi High Courts, a complaint was filed against Manoj and the film’s director. Throughout the hearing, the Allahabad High Court issued numerous rebukes. The court had also made a disparaging remark about the film’s creators, claiming that they would have viewed the movie if one similar to it had been made about Muslims.

The court claimed that Hindus are continually put to the test for tolerance. Manoj and Raut were directed by the court to personally appear in the case. However, despite the heavy criticism, the movie collected a healthy amount at the box office and also broke multiple records as well. The movie’s lead actors Prabhas, Kriti Senon and Saif Ali Khan also had to face the wrath of the fans.
