Three batters in current times who have scored hundreds for fun in international cricket
Rohit Sharma played a brilliant inning in the third Test between India and England in the first innings at Rajkot. India was in deep trouble in the first hour of the play, thanks to a great new ball spell from the likes of James Anderson, Mark Wood, and Tom Hartley. At the end of the first hour, India was reduced to 33/3 in no time. A big partnership was essential for India at that point. Jadeja and Rohit needed to be at their best in the middle.
It was Rohit who steadied the Indian innings with Ravindra Jadeja at the other end. The duo helped India’s recovery from 33/3 at one stage to a score of 200/3 at the end of the 56th over. Despite facing good bowling from England, the duo ensured that India stayed in the game with their batsmanship. While Jadeja played his role at the other end, Rohit was aggressive and dominated the proceedings, as he registered a fabulous ton.
The partnership has continued to flourish, and India is in a good position in the Test currently. In the process, Sharma closed in on becoming the batter with the second-highest number of hundreds in international cricket among active cricketers. Check out the batters with the greatest number of 3-digit scores at the highest level among current times.

3. Rohit Sharma (India)
With his hundred in the third Test against England, the Indian skipper registered his record 47th ton at the highest level. It was very much essential for Sharma to be back among the runs. He could not score a lot in the last few matches in the longest format of the game. The star batter did not have a great time in South Africa.
His last four Test innings had resulted in scores of 24, 39, 14, and 13 respectively. Come the third Test against England, Rohit played a significant role as his blade did the talking. The knock against England at Rajkot would have given the 36-year-old the much-required confidence to express himself in the middle.
