Shepherd sizzles with all-round performance
Nicholas Pooran registered a match-winning knock in the last clash.
When he failed to turn up in this clash, Romario Shepherd stood up to the occasion.
His 31-ball 72* was a crucial touch, a nail in the coffin for the Tallawahs in the 29th game of the Caribbean Premier League.
His fifty propelled the Warriors to 142/7 in 18 overs.
When it was his turn to bowl, Shepherd impressed once again.
The all-rounder dismissed Imad Wasim, Rovman Powell and Andre Russell to take away the hopes of the Jamaica fans.
With every power hitter back in the hut, Shepherd made it too easy for Pooran’s men to cross the line.
Eventually, Guyana Amazon Warriors won by 14 runs.

Imran Tahir never ceases to amaze in franchise cricket.
The South African spinner bowled two maiden overs and picked two scalps to his name.
He spun a web around the Tallawahs, while keeping the pressure on the opposition.
He did not concede any run in the two overs he bowled due to which others bowlers were able to make hay, due to the pressure.
Kirk McKenzie (3) and Kennar Lewis (0) were both his victims.

Just when St Kitts & Nevis Patriots were looking to gather momentum after yesterday’s victory, they slumped to another loss.
This time, Trinbago Knight Riders feasted on Dwayne Bravo’s team.
Khan picks three wickets
Ali Khan proved why he deserves every right to be rated highly in franchise cricket. He dismissed Da Silva, Fabian Allen and Rutherford in his four overs. The American pacer never let the Patriots’ batters settle.
Whenever Bravo’s men seemed to extend their stay on the pitch, Khan was there to find a breakthrough for his team. His figures of 3-19 in four overs prove how significant his addition is in the middle overs.

He struck a 22-ball fifty before DC Drakes dismissed him. His half-century made the run chase too easy to conquer.
In the end, Sri Lanka’s Isuru Udana delivered the goods with an over to go.
The bowling all-rounder smacked huge sixes in the 19th over to reach the target with four wickets in hand.

Trinbago Riders, St. Kitts Patriots, St. Lucia Kings and Guyana Warriors will be four teams contesting for the title.
