Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan made a hilarious tweet post India’s semifinal win against New Zealand in Mumbai. In the game, the home team won the toss and elected to bat first. They had a great start as skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill put together 71 runs in just 8.2 overs. The former scored 47 off just 29 balls including four fours and as many sixes.

After this, the likes of Virat Kohli and Gill added another 93 runs before the latter retired hurt. Shreyas Iyer and Kohli put together 163 runs for the third wicket to put the team in a strong position. Both players scored their individual hundreds. In the end, with KL Rahul also playing a cameo, the team reached 397/4, the highest total in a white-ball world event knockout.

In reply, the Blackcaps lost two wickets for 39 runs. At this point, the likes of skipper Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell put together 181 runs for the third wicket. However, thanks to a seven-wicket haul from Mohammed Shami, the team managed to win the game by 70 runs. With this win, the team has won their first knockout game of a World Event after the Champions Trophy 2017 semifinal against Bangladesh.

India will play the final on November 19 against the winner of the ongoing second semifinal between Australia and South Africa. In the game, the Proteas have won the toss and elected to bat first. They have lost two wickets and gotten only eight runs in seven overs.
