Chris Rock disses Will Smith’s apology video
Will Smith finally apologizes to Chris Rock for his behavior at the 94th Academy Awards (Oscars) only to be dissed by Chris Rock.
It’s been days since Will Smith apologized to his fans and comedian Chris Rock for slapping him at the Oscars earlier this year and Chris Rock finally acknowledged the same.
If you need a refresher, during the Oscars which were held on 27th March this year Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith (Will Smith’s wife) on her decision to shave her head. He said, “Jada can’t wait for GI Jane 2” referring to the 1997 movie GI Jane starring Demi Moore where she had shaved her head for the role.
Jada had revealed on her talk show that she decided to shave her head because she was diagnosed with alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder. Following this joke made by Chris Will Smith got on the stage to slap the comedian.
Coming back to the present, while performing in the UK, Chris Rock during a weekend show gave a response to the apology video by calling it a “f*** your hostage video.” Chris also talked about Will’s award-winning performance in Ali which was released in 2001. He said “yea that s*** hurt. He played Ali. I can’t even play Floyd Mayweather.”
Last week while performing, Chris also said that Will Smith slapped him for the “nicest joke he has ever said.”
Well looks like Chris Rock is in no mood to make amends and rightfully so. Owing to this incident, Will Smith is banned from the Academy Awards for 10 years even after issuing a public apology.
Should Chris Rock forgive Will Smith? Not so soon at least.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Plan Extravagant $600 Million Aspen Wedding
Billionaire Jeff Bezos and fiancée Lauren Sanchez are preparing for an opulent $600 million wedding in Aspen, Colorado. Engaged since May 2023, the couple has selected Matsuhisa, a luxurious sushi restaurant, as the venue for their winter wonderland-themed celebration.
Matsuhisa will be exclusively reserved from December 26 to 27 for the event, hosting an elite guest list of 180. This grand celebration follows their lavish engagement festivities in Positano, Italy, attended by Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Queen Rania of Jordan.
The main ceremony is scheduled for December 28 at Dunbar Ranch, a sprawling 160-acre property owned by actor Kevin Costner. Sources suggest the wedding and related festivities will total an estimated $600 million. Reports also indicate that the couple has arrived in Aspen, fueling anticipation for their star-studded nuptials.
Five-star hotels and private mansions have been secured in Aspen to accommodate the high-profile guests. Vendors from across the country have been enlisted, working under strict non-disclosure agreements to maintain secrecy. Wedding planners described the event as one of the most extravagant in Aspen’s history.
Lauren Sanchez hinted at her wedding dress during an earlier interview on the Today Show. However, the couple has not confirmed further details about the ceremony. Bezos and Sanchez, who started dating in 2019, got engaged last year aboard Bezos’ $500 million superyacht.
The wedding promises to be a spectacular affair, featuring global icons and unmatched luxury. With its exclusive setting, high-profile attendees, and staggering budget, the event is expected to leave a lasting impression.

Laura Harrier Reflects on Spider-Man Casting, Friendship with Zendaya, and Marvel’s Diversity
The casting process for Spider-Man: Homecoming brought unexpected challenges for Laura Harrier, who played Liz Toomes. Harrier recently revealed that she initially believed Zendaya had taken her role after her screen test. Speaking with Net-a-Porter, Harrier shared, “After my screen test, reports surfaced that Zendaya was cast in the movie. I thought I’d lost the role. My agent reassured me I was still in the running, but it was a nerve-wracking moment.”
Zendaya, already a Disney star with a massive fan following, was widely speculated to be playing Mary Jane Watson. Instead, she portrayed MJ, while Harrier took on the role of Liz Toomes, bringing a fresh dynamic to the franchise.
Marvel Studios’ casting of two women of color in key roles was groundbreaking. Harrier praised the studio’s approach: “It wasn’t about our blackness; it was about reflecting the diversity of New York City. That’s what films should do. Zendaya and I had so much fun making the movie, and we’ve remained friends since.”
While Harrier did not return for Spider-Man: Far From Home, she cherishes the relationships formed during her Marvel journey. “Friendships with people like Zendaya, Yara Shahidi, and Alycia Debnam-Carey make this sometimes-strange industry less intimidating and much more rewarding,” Harrier shared.
More than seven years since Spider-Man: Homecoming, Harrier has built a strong career, starring in projects like Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood. Meanwhile, Zendaya has achieved critical acclaim with roles in Dune and Euphoria.
Their shared experience on Spider-Man symbolizes Marvel’s commitment to diversity and highlights the importance of camaraderie in the entertainment world.

Ariana Grande Balances Acting and Music: Golden Globe Nomination Marks New Chapter
Ariana Grande is not stepping away from music but is pausing it to focus on acting and exploring other artistic avenues. Speaking with Variety on December 18, the Wicked star clarified her future plans. While prioritizing screen work for now, Grande emphasized that music remains an integral part of her life. “Music and being on stage will always be a part of my life,” she stated. However, she does not foresee returning to touring soon.
Grande’s record label, Republic Records, addressed recent rumors about a 2025 tour after Ticketmaster listed events under her name. They confirmed, “There are no plans for a tour next year. Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and their love and support.”
In July, Grande had hinted at the possibility of a mini-tour during a guest appearance on the Shut Up Evan podcast. She mentioned that fitting it between the release of Wicked Part One on November 22 and Wicked Part Two in November 2025 could be “a lovely idea.” However, it has been five years since her last tour in 2019, which supported her Sweetener album.
Currently, acting feels like home for Grande, and her performance in Wicked is earning her acclaim. Playing Glinda the Good Witch alongside Cynthia Erivo’s Wicked Witch of the West, Grande received her first-ever Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Erivo also earned a nomination for Best Actress.
As Ariana Grande embraces her evolving career, she remains grateful to her fans. “The next few years will be about exploring different forms of art,” she shared. While music takes a backseat, Grande’s Golden Globe nod signals a promising future in acting.
