Sunny Leone recalls how Mahesh Bhatt presented her with offer to make Bollywood debut while she was part of ‘Bigg Boss 5’
Bollywood actor Sunny Leone was a part of the 5th season of the popular Indian TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ before entering the Indian film industry. Sunny couldn’t win the show as she was a fresh face for many viewers and in the end, popular TV serial actor Juhi Parmar won the show.
Meanwhile, Sunny recently talked about her guest appearance on the show back in 2012 and also revealed many things about it. Interestingly in Sunny’s autobiographical web series Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story, it was stated that she was offered more money than the winner. To which now Sunny has opened up and said that she doesn’t know how much the Bigg Boss winner makes but she did get paid a big amount.
“I don’t know what Bigg Boss winner makes. What did they make that year? I don’t know. I did get paid. I first did not want to go (as a contestant on Bigg Boss 5) for many different reasons. First was safety and not knowing how people would react when I get there. In my head, I was like, okay this is a down payment on the house. Because I didn’t see it as a future. I just got married so I was looking forward to a new start in life. So we thought we’ll put a down payment on the house. And that’s it. It was that simple,” Sunny was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Mahesh Bhatt is probably amazing: Sunny Leone
She also talked about how Bollywood veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt presented her with an offer to make her Bollywood debut with Jism 2. Interestingly, Sunny was still in the show at that time and got a huge offer inside the house itself. The movie had mixed reactions but Sunny made a huge fanbase after her performance in the movie.
“I didn’t think it was real. I mean at that point, I didn’t think it was real. Because I didn’t even know who he was. They just said this is so and so from the film industry and everybody else was going bananas in the house. Oh my god, this person is coming into the house, this buzz was happening. I don’t know who he is. But he’s probably amazing. I mean he is really amazing, I later realised,” she added
