India won the 2nd Test against England at Vizag to level the series 1-1. With the big win, India now has a good opportunity to continue their momentum and claim the series. Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Jasprit Bumrah starred in India’s win against England, which helped them to move to the second spot in the 3rd cycle of the WTC. Australia is currently at the top of the table despite losing the Gabba Test against the West Indies. 

The third Test of the series is set to take place at Rajkot from the 15th to the 19th of February. The Indian squad for the last three Tests of the series is yet to be announced. There is doubt over the participation of Virat Kohli in the remainder of the series. However, the Indian Cricket Board is set to talk with the star player regarding the same. Following the discussion, there could be the announcement of the Indian squad for the rest of the series. 

India is unlikely to have any change in the third Test, given the time they must recover before the match. In the win against England, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma climbed up the ladder in a peculiar record. Rohit is inching closer towards being a part of 300 or more wins for India as a player. He is now among the top 5 players in the list of Indians being part of the most international wins.

Yuvraj Singh is a part of 227 matches in which India emerged victorious. The former Indian player was a part of many famous wins for India, including major tournament wins like the T20 WC 2007 and the ODI WC 2011. In the 2011 ODI WC, Yuvraj was the player of the tournament despite suffering from cancer.  

Yuvraj won a lot of matches for India as a player. He is remembered for several other individual accomplishments as well. Yuvraj was a part of the Indian team that won the Asia Cup, NatWest Series, and Commonwealth Bank Series. His last win as a player came against Bangladesh in the semifinal of the Champions Trophy. 

4. MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is a part of 295 matches in which India emerged victorious. The former Indian skipper last played for India in the semifinal of the ODI WC 2019. His last win as a player of India came in the group stage match of the tournament against Sri Lanka. Much like Yuvraj, Dhoni was a part of many huge wins for the Indian team. 

The former Indian skipper is the only player to have won the ODI World Cup (In 2011), the T20 World Cup (In 2007), and the Champions Trophy (In 2013). Dhoni was the captain of the team in all those big tournaments. Under Dhoni, India also won the Commonwealth Bank Series and the Asia Cup. He is 4th in the list of players with the most wins for India. 

3. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is a part of 296 matches in which India emerged victorious. India’s latest win in the Test match against England at Vizag has taken him a rank higher in the list over Dhoni. Rohit has also been a part of many big wins for India over the years. He was a captain in some of those series and played as a pure player as well. 

Rohit was a part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup (In 2007), and the Champions Trophy (In 2013). Rohit was also the skipper in the Indian team which won the Asia Cup in 2023. The 36-year-old also won the Commonwealth Bank Series 2008 as a player and played a key role in it. Sharma can win 300 matches as an Indian player very soon. 

2. Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar is a part of 307 matches in which India emerged victorious. The legendary player had one of the best farewell matches. He retired after playing the Test match against the West Indies in 2013, which was won by India at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. Tendulkar won many other major series. It came in different time periods. 

Sachin was a part of some of the multi-nation tournaments like the NatWest Series in 2002 and the Commonwealth Bank Series in 2008. Sachin also won the Asia Cup multiple times. The biggest win Tendulkar was a part of was the ODI World Cup win in 2011. The star player finally won what he wished to. It was one of the two biggest wins in the history of Indian cricket.

Virat Kohli is a part of 313 matches in which India emerged victorious. It is the most for an Indian player. Virat has been a part of many huge wins. Starting his career for India in 2009, Virat played a crucial role in India’s win in the ODI World Cup 2011. Virat Kohli was an underrated performer in the Champions Trophy 2013. He also won the Asia Cup numerous times. 

As an individual, Virat has achieved a lot. But even as a player, he has been a part of many wins for the Indian team. Virat won the Border Gavaskar Trophy at home. Under his leadership, India beat Australia in their backyard for the first time in a Test series. It goes down to be one of the biggest achievements of the Indian team at the highest level.
