‘Ye to pata tha sabko’ – Fans react as Ab de Villiers reveals reason behind Virat Kohli taking leave for first two Tests against England
Ab De Villiers has revealed the reason behind Virat Kohli not playing in the first two Tests against England. The former SA batter claimed that Virat and Anushka are expecting their 2nd child. As a result, Virat opted out of the first two Test matches of the series against England.
“Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are expecting their 2nd child. So, Virat is spending time with his family,” claimed De Villiers in his YouTube channel. For the same reason, the star pair of Anushka and Virat did not take part in the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
The fans were not happy with the fact that Kohli opted to stay out of the first two Tests against England. Many claimed that Virat’s mother Saroj was unwell. But Virat’s brother took to social media and confirmed that the news was fake and asked the fans to trust only credible sources.
Virat Kohli’s participation in the rest of the series to be discussed
The Indian Cricket Board is set to discuss with Virat about his participation in the rest of the series against England, the squad for the last three Tests of the series is set to be announced soon. As a result, the officials of the Indian Cricket Board are likely to talk with Virat to conclude regarding his participation.
“Since he (Virat) is on leave for the first two matches we can’t ask him his availability before that but yes now we have to pick the squad for the rest of the matches. We will certainly seek his availability. However, it’s up to him whether he will play or not,” a statement close to the Indian Cricket Board claimed.
India are going well in the ongoing Test at Vizag. At the end of the 2nd day, India lead by 171 runs and are in a good position in the Test match. Fans would be hoping to not witness another Hyderabad, where the home side bottled up the match against England despite being in a dominant position in the match.
