India’s squad for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan has been announced. Both teams will play with each other on January 11,14, and 17. Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, this is their last series. Even though players from both teams will play in the IPL 2024, these players will play each other as a team only in this series.

Meanwhile, talking about the Men In Blue, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who was touted as the next T20I captain, continues to be ruled out. He got injured during the ODI World Cup 2023 and has not recovered as of now. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav, who got injured in the third T20I against South Africa, is also ruled out.

Apart from him, Ruturaj Gaikwad who got injured during the ODI series against the Proteas, continues to be ruled out. Meanwhile, the final squad for the series is announced. It is expected that the same squad will be part of the T20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, the India skipper has made his comeback alongside his predecessor, Kohli. Both players last played a T20I against England in the 2022 edition’s semifinal. They were asked to concentrate on the ODI format for the ODI World Cup.
