Sarfaraz himself batted well at the other end and scored an unbeaten 68. The duo helped India to post 430 runs before declaring the innings. As a result, India gave a challenging target of 557 runs for England. The visiting side got bundled out for just 122 runs in a little over a session. The architects of the win were the young batters like Yashasvi and Khan whose knocks were valuable.
Fans remember Suresh Raina’s celebration
Jaiswal scored 214*(236) which included 14 fours and a record 12 sixes. As he approached his second 200, Sarfaraz ran from the other end towards the striker’s end and fist-thumped the air in joy before Yashasvi could celebrate his success. The video has gone viral on X as fans could not help but remember the former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina.
He was known to be someone who celebrated the success of individuals before themselves. In one of the popular matches of India against Pakistan in the ODI WC 2015, Virat scored a hundred and became the first batter to reach 3-digit mark in the clashes between India and Pakistan in the WC. Raina celebrated the knock of Virat in a similar way to Khan did in Rajkot.
