WATCH: Islamabad United skipper Shadab Khan calls out DRS’ shortcomings after loss against Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2024
Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan has expressed his disappointment over the DRS call during their game against Quetta Gladiators. In the eighth game of the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2024 (PSL), both former champions took on each other. Batting first, the two-time winners had a decent start but failed to capitalize. After being 69/1 in nine overs, the team crumbled and managed only 138/9 at the end of the innings.
In reply, the 2019 winners, Gladiators had a poor start as they lost four wickets for 54 runs despite Jason Roy’s cameo. In the 11th over, Rilee Rossouw survived a DRS call although the replays showed the ball was hitting outside the off-stumps marginally the DRS showed the ball’s impact was different from the real-time replay.
What a big blunder by DRS Technology in PSL. They totally changed the ball, impact and projection of it. It definitely is a very suspicious and controversial decision which needs an inquiry. #HBLPSL9 | #QGvIU pic.twitter.com/WPYXxS7cwo
