India’s star allrounder Hardik Pandya is celebrating his 30th birthday on October 11. The dynamic player and India’s vice-captain has been the team’s one of the key players over the years. The Men in Blue will surely need his services in the ongoing ODI World Cup which is being held in India.

Meanwhile, a video is going viral on social media in which Pandya can be seen cutting his cake. The cake was brought by the popular cricket presenter and anchor Jatin Sapru who is also a good friend of the allrounder. However, there was one more guy who joined the celebration and it was none other than former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir.

Talking about Pandya, he has achieved great heights in recent years. One of the main reasons behind his success is the popular IPL franchise Gujarat Titans in which Pandya leads the team and in the augural season of the franchise, the star allrounder led his team to the coveted trophy.

Hardik Pandya likely to become India’s next limited-overs captain

It was now evident that Pandya has a great leadership quality and he can be one of the contenders to become India’s next captain after Rohit Sharma. However, it looks like Pandya has already replaced Rohit for the T20I captaincy but the question remains for the other two formats.

But one thing we should keep in mind is that Pandya hasn’t played a Test match for a while and it is most likely that Pandya will not be seen playing the longest format. However, he will surely be India’s next captain in ODI and T20I formats. Meanwhile, talking about India, they have won their first match of the ODI World Cup on October 8 which was against Australia.

They are currently clashing against Afghanistan in Delhi which is the 9th match of the ODI World Cup 2023. The Afghans have lost their first match and will look to open their winning account against the Men in Blue.
