The enthusiasm quickly turned chaotic as the display of pyrotechnics led to a sense of urgency among moviegoers, with some seen running to find a haven within the theatre.

The incident prompted an investigation by local authorities as concerns arose about the safety of the audience and potential damage to the historic Mohan Cinema. The police swiftly registered a case against Mohan Theatre under Section 112 at the Chavani police station. Two individuals were taken into custody in connection with the unauthorised use of firecrackers within the cinema premises.
