Ever since the Pakistan team have arrived in Hyderabad, they have been given special treatment. From getting welcomed at the Airport to the special services at the hotel, the Men in Green have received great hospitality. During their first match, which was against the Netherlands in Hyderabad, the Pakistan cricket team got huge support from the crowd.
Brilliant batting display from Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique
The passionate display of support transcended borders and showcased the timeless appeal of cricket as a unifying force. It was a moment when the love for the game and national pride converged to create an unforgettable experience for players and spectators alike.
Talking about the match, Sri Lanka batted first after winning the toss and put up a monumental total of 344 runs on the scoreboard with the help of brilliant centuries from Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama. Pakistan bowlers had no reply to the Sri Lanka counterattack.
Chasing the target, the Men in Green started horribly by losing their first 2 wickets on just 37. Skipper Babar Azam continued his horrible form and departed after scoring just 10 runs. But once again, it was Rizwan who played the role of a saviour and stitched a 176-run stand with Abdullah Shafique. Both batters smashed centuries and ensured that the team got past the total.
