WATCH: Cameron Green grabs stunning one handed catch in 2nd ODI against West Indies to dismiss Roston Chase

Cameron Green took a stunning one-handed grab to dismiss Roston Chase in the 2nd ODI. Their catch of Green was sensational as he had to make a diving effort to get close to the impact of the ball. The star all-rounder was not just successful in reaching towards the ball but also managed to grab the catch. It was so good to see. 

Roston Chase tried to hit the ball over the mid-wicket region. Sean Abbott delivered a short ball, and the batter could not get enough elevation. The ball went towards the mid-wicket region where Green was stationed. But the ball was not exactly where the fielder anticipated it to be. Green hence made an early move towards his left to claim the catch.

Green was successful in grabbing the ball and let out a huge smile for the efforts. Green’s teammates appreciated the sensational catch from the youngster which did not seem easy at all. It was one of the best catches claimed by a fielder in recent times. Chase could not believe that Green ended up grabbing it. The catch helped the home side to further dominate WI in the game. 

Australia claim an unassailable lead in the series

Australia won the match by a comfortable margin of 83 runs. Batting first, the home side managed to score 258 runs on the board, which was around par score at SCG. The lower-order batters like Sean Abbott, Aaron Hardie, Will Sutherland, and Matthew Short helped Australia to get to a good total on the board. West Indies never seemed to be in the game. The visiting side kept on losing wickets at regular intervals.  

Josh Hazlewood and Abbott claimed three wickets each for the home side. Sutherland claimed two wickets as well. Abbott got the Player of the Match award for his All-Round performance. Green himself was brilliant in the match as he scored a crucial 31 on a tricky wicket with the bat and claimed a stunning grab to dismiss Roston Chase in Australia’s win.
