WATCH: Australia’s Sean Abbott pulls off a spectacular catch at boundaries in third ODI against South Africa
In the ongoing third ODI between South Africa and Australia, the Proteas have managed to put up a fight with the bat. The Aussies won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Green Brigade had a great start with the bat as Quinton de Kock and skipper Temba Bavuma out together 146 runs for the first wicket in 22.5 overs.
Both players scored a fifty each but missed out on a hundred. After they got out and the team was at 150/2, the likes of Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram put together 76 runs for the third wicket. After this partnership was broken, the team was reduced to 244/5 in 41.3 overs. At this stage, the likes of Markram and Marco Jansen put together 63 runs with the latter taking on the bowlers.
Jansen scored 16-ball 32 runs before his innings ended by a spectacular catch by Sean Abbott on the boundary. After hitting six and two fours in the 47th over, the Sunrisers Hyderabad player in the IPL took another chance at Nathan Ellis. The former middle the ball but found Abbott at the boundary.

Talking about the game, the former SA U19 skipper scored his another ODI hundred on the last ball of the first innings. His innings helped the team reach 338/6 in the end. For the first time in the series, the home side reached the 300-run mark. Also, Markram is the first home team player to score a hundred in the series. In reply, the Yellow Brigade has had a strong start with 150/2 in 17 overs with David Warner batting at 73 off 48 balls.
