The trailer for Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming movie, “Bawaal,” has recently been released, garnering media attention. The movie, which was directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is one of the most eagerly awaited movies of this year and will release on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video on July 21st, 2023. Moving on to the latest developments, Varun has spoken out about his infamous “blowj*b” remark in a new interview and blamed Janhvi’s expression for the uproar.

There is no doubt that Varun is a very unfiltered celebrity. He frequently states the obvious and doesn’t hold back while expressing his opinions. Dhawan remarked, “I mean, it’s a blowj*b to everyone’s ego that you know that you’re a star, you’re this, and you’re that. But eventually, when people are watching the cinema, they just want to be entertained. That’s it,” and for obvious reasons, it quickly gained popularity on social media.

‘Being politically correct has become a thing right now’ – Varun Dhawan

For those who are unaware, Janhvi Kapoor participated in the same roundtable and added to the controversy by responding to Varun Dhawan’s statement. Dhawan stated in his most recent interview with Zoom, “I didn’t think there was a big deal in that. It was because of her (Janhvi) expression it was. Nobody else on that table gave an expression like that,” talking about the controversy around his controversial remarks.

The Bawaal actor was then about Ayushmann Khurrana‘s response to how he was taken aback. Varun said,  “Ayushmann just blushed, it’s okay.” He concluded by saying, “People say curb it, then they say you are very unique only you talk like that, I don’t know actually, just being politically correct has become a thing right now.”

Talking of the upcoming film, just the director’s name, Nitesh Tiwari, is enough to ensure that the movie would be immensely entertaining. He is an authority on the issue, and the filmmakers are purposefully playing it safe. The ongoing conflict between Varun’s character’s fixation with maintaining a positive social image and Janhvi’s character’s sanity results in some powerful scenes that are likely to keep the audience on edge.

Lily-Rose Depp recently opened up about the lasting impact of her father Johnny Depp’s iconic role in Edward Scissorhands. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she shared how her father’s portrayal of the misunderstood character traumatized her as a child.

“I was traumatised by it,” Lily-Rose explained. “Not because I thought he was scary, but because everyone was being so mean to him.” She revealed how the film’s emotional impact stayed with her, shaping her perception of her father’s fame.

Growing up in the spotlight, Lily-Rose acknowledged how her father’s career shaped her own path. “We’re very different actors,” she said, but emphasized that she grew up in a world she had always found fascinating.

Lily-Rose also discussed the challenges of maintaining privacy as the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. In a previous interview with The Daily Telegraph India, she said, “Fame is the downside of acting.” She continued, “The job of an actor is to go into a character and make the audience believe you are this character. To do that, it’s important to protect a sense of anonymity.”

In her recent role in Nosferatu, Lily-Rose has received widespread acclaim for her performance. Critics have described the film as “hypnotic” and “the scariest movie since The Shining.” The Hollywood Reporter praised Lily-Rose’s performance, calling it a revelation, while Collider named it one of the year’s best. She plays Ellen Hutter in the remake, alongside Bill Skarsgård, Willem Dafoe, and Emma Corrin.
