In the 5th T20I of the five-match series, India beat Australia by six runs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With this win, Suryakumar Yadav led India to seal the series by 4-1. However, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif couldn’t stop himself from trolling Matthew Wade-led Australia.

Kaif, who faced a lot of criticism from Australian media and players for his comments after India’s loss in the ODI World Cup finals against Australia, Damien Martyn and David Warner mocked Kaif for his intriguing comment despite Australia’s dominance in the final. However, Kaif clarified that his tweet was misconstrued.

He revealed that he intended to highlight India’s exceptional cricket throughout the World Cup, winning 10 consecutive matches leading up to the final, rather than diminishing Australia’s performance. Now, after India’s dominant victory in the T20I series, Kaif once again trolled the Aussies with his tweet. “Better talent, better skills. This time, the better team on the field and paper won. 4-1,” Kaif posted on his X account.

The series yielded many positives for India

In the context of the match, Surya continued the tradition initiated by MS Dhoni, presenting the trophy to the youngest team member, Rinku Singh. Amid a resounding roar from the crowd and players, Rinku Singh lifted the trophy. The series yielded several positive outcomes for India.

Ravi Bishnoi emerged as a match-winner, Rinku Singh showcased his match-finishing skills, Yashasvi Jaiswal exhibited confidence at the top order, and Suryakumar Yadav displayed effective leadership. In Bengaluru, the pacers defended a modest target on compact ground, providing a significant boost to their careers.

Additionally, Jitesh Sharma excelled in both keeping and batting during the latter part of the series. Now, the team, with some changes, will travel to South Africa for a three-match T20I series. All young minds will look to continue their dominance as the T20 World Cup is just six months away.
