‘Taarif wo jo duniya kare’ – Fans react as former Pakistan pacer rates Rohit Sharma as best ever cricketer
Former Pakistan pacer Junaid Khan has rated India skipper Rohit Sharma as the best-ever Indian cricketer in his opinion. The former made his debut against India in what happens to be the last bilateral series between India and Pakistan till now in 2012-13. At that point, England, who were supposed to play an all-format series, went home temporarily for Christmas.
On the other hand, the talks of the India and Pakistan series were ongoing in the preceding months. With the Three Lions going home, the Green Brigade played a two-match T20I and three-match ODI series. Khan made his debut in the 50-over games and made an impression immediately. In the first match in Chennai, the left-arm pacer took the wickets of Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, and Sharma.
Sharma is the only player from that series who is still playing the game. On the other hand, Khan went into the wilderness after playing for a few years. Meanwhile, during a conversation with Nadir Ali, the 2017 Champions Trophy winner said that Sharma is the best-ever Indian player.
